junkyard_angle_logo PRESS PICJunkyard Angel is a honky-tonk-infused collection of musicians and talent’s featuring Stewart Marshall (Stewart and Winfield) on vocals and guitar, his brother Jim Marshall (Backwoods, Songwriter) on vocals and guitar, Scotty Rahn on Lead Guitar and Vocals, Scott Tanner on bass, Joe Ippolito (of Ex-Geffen Recording Artists, Remy Zero) on drums, and occasionally Allan Hughes (Athen’s GA multi-instrumentalist) on Pedal Steel/Fiddle/Lap.

Junkyard Angel features old school country and rock that is drawing on the likes of Gram Parsons, Johnny Cash, Crazy Horse and the Flying Burrito Brothers with a good bit of Rolling Stones’ “Goat’s Head Soup” era colored outside the lines. Basically a ton of fun and such with some heartfelt, boot scootin’, countrytonk.

The band is currently in and out of the studio and playing on a semi-regular basis in and around Charleston, Savannah and Athens and putting final touches on their CD that has been in the works since Stewart, Scotty and Jim first started the project back in 2005 with lost members David Nickel (Bloodkin, Stewart and Winfield) and Rick Williams (Bloodkin, Park Bench Trio, Blues Olympics).

Come out and enjoy the band as the featured entertainment in the JCB MudFest Party Pit, Saturday June 20th from 9am-1pm.

image1Born November 9, 1991 and raised in Statesboro, GA, Coty has been strumming his guitar or banjo, and writing his own music since he was seventeen!  Influenced by his Uncle Gerald Smith, a well respected Nashville musician who has been writing songs for over twenty-five years for country music celebrities like Lori Morgan, George Strait, George Jones and others, Coty developed a strong passion to pursue his own music career.  He loves and appreciates all country music but particularly likes the music of Chris Young, George Strait, and Vince Gill.

Coty has shared his music talent with his followers for the past five years in several venues including local bars, restaurants, and private clubs.  He has had the opportunity and pleasure to open for Corey Smith and Joe Nichols  and is frequently asked to provide private entertainment for many of his fans.  In 2014 Coty released his first EP debuting the title track “Cowboy Casanova” which him landed him a top 100 single on the Musicrow chart.  He is currently working on his first album which he hopes to have released in 2015.  Be looking and listening for this latest up-and-coming Country Music talent!
